General Terms and Conditions of Participation

The competition is organised by Hirmer Verlag GmbH, Bayerstraße 57-59, 80335 Munich.

Participation in competitions in our newsletter
To enter the competition, you must email the competition question to info[at]hirmerverlag.de . The winners will be drawn from all participants and notified by email the following day. If a winner does not respond within seven days of notification to claim their prize, the claim to the prize shall lapse and a replacement winner shall be drawn from among the remaining participants. Winners shall be notified via the email address they used when submitting their entry. The names of the winners will not be publicly announced. Cash payment of the prizes is not possible. Prize claims are not transferable to other persons.

Participation in competitions on our Facebook and Instagram channels
To participate in the competition on the Facebook or Instagram channels of Hirmer Verlag GmbH, answer the competition question posed in the post within the specified period. Our competitions on Facebook or Instagram are not affiliated with Facebook Inc. Hirmer Verlag GmbH is the sole contact and organiser. The winners will be drawn from among all commenters within three working days. Further conditions of participation
All persons residing in Germany, Austria and Switzerland who are at least 18 years of age are eligible to participate. Employees of Hirmer Verlag GmbH and their relatives are not eligible to participate. Participation is not dependent on the purchase of goods or services. Participation by or through competition agencies and other automated mass participation is excluded and will not be considered when determining the winners. Hirmer Verlag GmbH reserves the right to exclude from the competition, even retrospectively, any persons suspected of multiple entries or of entering under false details, or of using unauthorised aids or technical manipulations, or who violate these conditions of participation, and to revoke and reclaim any prizes awarded. Liability
Hirmer Verlag GmbH shall not be liable for damages resulting from faulty or delayed transmissions, technical equipment malfunctions or lack of accessibility to the website, incorrect or incomplete content and information, loss of data, caused by viruses or otherwise arising from participation in the competition, unless the damage is due to intentional or grossly negligent action on the part of Hirmer Verlag GmbH or its legal representatives or vicarious agents. Liability for damages resulting from injury to life, limb or health and under the Product Liability Act remains unaffected. Liability in the event of a breach of essential contractual obligations, on the fulfilment of which the participant may regularly rely, is limited to foreseeable damages typical for this type of contract.

Hirmer Verlag GmbH reserves the right to terminate the competition prematurely without giving reasons. Should individual provisions of these conditions of participation be or become invalid, this shall not affect the validity of the remaining conditions of participation. The competition is subject to the law of the Federal Republic of Germany. Legal recourse is excluded.
